To Ms. Yvette Mc Ghee -Brown, the former Ohio Lt. governor candidate was named to The Ohio Supreme Court. She is the first female African-American Justice and only the third African-American ever named to Ohio Supreme Court. This website is a huge supporter of Ms. Brown, I know that she will bring compassion, integrity and a sense of "style" to the states highest court.
Cheers
To State Representative Nicki Antonio, she is the first openly LGBT State Representative in Ohio. The former Lakewood City Councilwoman took her oath yesterday in Columbus. The entire LGBT community in Greater Cleveland is proud of this extraordinary woman.
Sneers
To The newly elected Cuyahoga Council for electing C. Ellen Connally President of County Council. Clearly in Cuyahoga County Government, it's business as usual. The will of the people in this County only seems to matter at Election TIME. But some of us, have long memories.
Tears
For my man Stanley Tolliver, the "people's Lawyer" represented some of the most notorious criminal cases in Cleveland's history. He worked with Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and was on the Cleveland Public School Broad, during the Desegregation era. But, I will remember him from some of the conversations that he and I were a part of down at Lancers. Rest in Peace.
